Pesticide Applicator Training sessions are to be held at Dodge County UW-Extension in February and March. Dodge County pesticide applicators certification that has or will be expiring or first-time applicators, will want to register for one of two training sessions offered. A self-study program in order to certify will be available as well.

2018 Crop Land Rental Rate Survey Results

Dodge and Fond Du Lac County conducted a farmland cash rent survey during the winter of 2018. The survey is intended to provide township level rental rate information for property owners and tenants who negotiate rental contracts in the many townships of Dodge County.

Alfalfa PEAQ Readings May 2018

Determining when to cut first-crop alfalfa is often difficult because alfalfa quality, relative to flowering stage, varies greatly. To help with this dilemma, agronomists at the University of Wisconsin – Madison developed the Predictive Equations for Alfalfa Quality (PEAQ) method which predicts alfalfa’s Relative Feed Value (RFV) at the time of cutting.
