Interns Begin Summer Work at Dodge County UW-Extension

Dodge County UW-Extension welcomes two summer interns for 2018. Julia Wedel is the 4-H Youth Development Summer Intern and Connor Schultz is the Dairy & Livestock Summer Agent.

Julia Wedel recently completed her third year at UW-La Crosse where she majors in English Education with a minor in Spanish. Wedel currently serves as a Mentoring and Readiness for College (MARC) tutor, and has previously served as a peer Spanish tutor. She is also a participating member in UWL’s English Club and volunteers with international students through the Global Buddies program. She hopes to apply what she has learned from her studies to empower and encourage youth through education and advocacy efforts.

Connor Schultz grew up in Juneau and has been part of the livestock industry since his youth, exhibiting sheep at the county, state and national levels. Still very involved in the industry today, Schultz is completing his senior year at UW-Stevens Point and will graduate in December with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Media. He looks forward to working with the farming and livestock community in Dodge County and is available to answer any question or concerns.
