Updated Custom Rate Survey Guide 2017 now out!

Just in time for the 2018 cropping season, an updated Wisconsin Custom Rate Survey Guide of the cost for common farming operations is available from USDA-NASS. The data was collected last fall. For most operations, the cost has increased 1% to 3.5% since the 2013 survey (the last one done).

Dr. Brian Luck, Biological Systems Engineering Department at UW-Madison, led the UW Extension effort on updating the Custom Rate Survey, with financial assistance from UW Extension, Renk Agribusiness Institute, Center for Dairy Profitability and the UW Soybean program (Cool Bean), with the data collection, analysis and publication done by USDA NASS.
