Don’t Miss It…Dodge County will be offering a morning training for the 2017 Soil, Water & Nutrient Management Meetings. Dodge County University of Wisconsin Extension (UWEX) invites area crop consultants, agronomy supply specialists, and other interested parties to attend the 2017 Soil, Water, and Nutrient Management meeting in Juneau on Monday, December 4th, at the Dodge County Administration Building, 127 East Oak Street, Juneau, Wisconsin. Registration and breakfast will go from 8:00 a.m. – 8:25 a.m. and the meeting will start promptly at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 11:00 a.m.
UW-Department of Soil Science faculty Francisco Arriaga, Matt Ruark, Brian Luck, and Sue Porter, will discuss and answer questions about the latest soil, water, and nutrient management research focusing on the following relevant topics:
- Building Soil Organic Matter
- Principles of Nitrogen Use Efficiency
- Cover Crop Research Update
- The Value of Crop Residues
- Cover Crop Survey Results
- Wisconsin Nutrient Management Update
- Machinery Movement for Efficient Forage Harvest and Maintaining Soil Health
A total of 3.0 CEU credits (1.0 NW and 2.0 SW) have been requested.
