The Dodge County Early Childhood Care & Education Task Force
We are a collaboration of Dodge County Child Care Providers and Agencies interested in improving the quality of Child Care in the Dodge County Area.

  • Our Mission: The Dodge County Early Childhood Care and Education Task Force will collaborate to enhance the quality of childcare for families by promoting education and support for childcare professionals.
  • Our Accomplishments:
    • Established Dodge County Director's Caucus
    • Received $57,059 Community Child Care Initiatives Grant
    • Organized Child Care Professional Appreciation Day -
      attended by 128 professionals - November 2002
      attended by 135 professionals - November 2003
    attended by 92 professionals - September 2004
    attended by 85 professionals - September 2005
    attended by 108 professionals - September 2006
    attended by 85 professionals - September 2007
    • Quality Improvements at five centers in Dodge County
    • Organized Kid's Share Fair - August 2003 and 2004, March 2005, April 2006, 2007, 2008
    • Supports the Beaver Dam Acting to Build our Children's Future (ABC) Project

Learning Math Every Day

Numbers, math concepts and math discussions are a part of our every day activities for people of all ages. Including counting and math words in your child's early years will set the stage for later interest and skills in math and science. <More Info>

The theme for this year is "You Are What You Wear"
Registration starts at 7:45 am
Breakfast at 8 am
Program and Recognition 8:45 - 10:45 am

2008 Programs

  • Tuesday, February 19 - Ask the Experts: What Would You Do When...?
    Little "things" or giant problems always come up and we need some advice. Collect your questions and your child care colleagues and Nan and Kathy will help you with answers.
  • Tuesday, April 8 - Block On
    Children engage in active, hands-on science projects through block play as they determine balance, stability, and gravity. Learn how you can enrich their experiences without interfering in their process of questioning and exploration.

  • 4-C's Professional Development and Training Department: http://www.4-C.org
    Offers affordable high quality workshops for childcare providers. Staff provide technical assistance to family and center based programs. A Resource Room and Lending library is available to all 4-C members offering among other things, toy kits for check out and access to a die cut machine and laminator. 4-C also sponsors the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). This Federal program allows regulated family childcare providers to receive monetary reimbursement for food served to children in their care. Nutrition workshops, assistance with business matters and information on child development are also available from the programs technical staff.
