Identity Theft and Account Fraud – Feb. 26

“Protecting Your Identity: What to Know, What to Do”. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has reported that again in 2013 Identity Theft was the top complaint category. Out of all the complaints the FTC received in 2013, 14% were regarding identity theft. In this educational program, participants will learn about the effects of identity theft and account fraud, how it happens, how to avoid becoming a victim, how to recognize when fraud has occurred, the steps to take if they become a victim and helpful resources. Participants will also learn how to get your free annual credit reports and the many benefits of reviewing their credit report.
