- Youth Animal Care Training Web site
This program through Kansas State University features free online educational training modules for youth high school age and younger. Through participation in this training, youth can improve their knowledge of animal handling, animal welfare, antimicrobial residue avoidance and food safety. Once all the modules within a package are completed and the quizzes are passes with eighty percent accuracy or higher, a certificate is available. Current training packages are:

* Youth Beef Industry Food Safety (7 modules)
* Youth Dairy Animal Care and Quality Assurance (31 modules)
* Youth Humane Equine Management (10 modules)

“Shayr-A-Heifer” Program – Application (due 3/31/12)
This program gives youth an opportunity to work with a registered Ayrshire as a project animal on a 50/50 basis for two years. After that time, the youth can purchase the animal or sell it for 50% of the proceeds. - Badgerland Financial Scholarship Program

- Beaver Dam Optimist Club - Applications due in late January/early February.
