Asphalt Sealcoats – Safe to Reuse?
While most homeowners will completely use driveway sealcoats, occasionally a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection program may receive full or partially full containers of these products. Due to their long shelf life, sealcoats might be seen as suitable for re-distribution for reuse by homeowners, rather than disposal by a licensed waste hauler. However, some sealcoat products contain poly-aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and should not be made available for reuse.
